Hello, my name is Tayo Adekeye and
I founded Fitesprit in 2011.
I provide fitness coaching, personal training, sports and massage services in the North London area. I have an Advanced Diploma in Personal Training Level 3 and a BTEC Level 5 in Sports and Clinical Remedial massage and ITEC Level 4 qualification in Sports Massage.
I have always loved being active and although I have had periods when I wasn’t active, I have always found myself involved in sports and various activities. I have participated in many events including the St Alban's half marathon, London to Brighton 56mile bicycle ride raising money in aid of The British Heart Foundation and even tried my hand at a triathlon for the first time last year.
I am also a mother of 3 and despite
my passion for exercise and fitness; I have also struggled
with my weight and fitness in the past particularly
during and after my 1st two pregnancies. Subsequently
with my 3rd pregnancy, I trained right through the pregnancy
and had a much more improved labour and post natal experience.
I returned to exercise 6 weeks after
the birth of my baby regaining my peak fitness within
9months of giving birth. This was an amazing experience
as I could see and feel the fitness gains week by week
which really kept me motivated.
Interestingly, I only saw exercise
as a useful weight management tool but in more recent
years since becoming much more involved with the fitness
industry, I have learnt how exercise can deliver so
many other benefits that are intrinsically linked to
a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing of mind as well as
body. Apart from weight loss; this includes improved
aerobic and lung function, reduced risk of cardiovascular
and many other diseases, improved mood and self esteem
and much more.
My previous career as a teacher has
given me a basic template of understanding in areas
of anatomy & physiology (my specialist area) and
diet & nutrition and also of delivering tailored
programs or lessons to meet specific goals.
I am 100% passionate about giving
you, the Fitesprit client the motivation, drive and
understanding to achieve your fitness goals. I recognise
that every Fitesprit client is different and has unique
challenges and goals.
I will work with you to identify your
goals and objectives and to set realistic and achievable
I will give you the relevant information about nutrition
and exercise to enable you to make better choices and
finally, I will provide encouragement, motivation and
drive to achieve those goals.
